OTTAWA — Women’s Transitional Care Services has changed its name to the Willow Domestic Violence Center. Franklin County coordinator Melissa Haenchen said the name change is part of a larger effort to increase public awareness about the group and the life-saving services it provides to survivors of domestic violence. The reference to willow refers to the fact that a broken and fallen willow branch will sprout new roots to survive and live on, as victims of domestic violence can, she said. The group’s new web site is www.willowdvcenter.org.
