OTTAWA — The Franklin County Commission has given the final green light to rebuilding the Vermont Road bridge over the Marais des Cygnes River near Rantoul yesterday. The county approved the final federal paperwork and has awarded the contract to Bryan-Ohlmeier Construction of Paola. County public works director Jim Haag said the contractor has been working out the construction timetable with the Kasnas Department of Transportation.
