OSAWATOMIE — The Osawatomie Volunteer Fire Department was part of the lights and action when a former Osawatomie film-maker returned to shoot a short film recently. Firefighters stood by while a fire was used for a scene in the movie and provide additional lighting with Engine 428. Sharon Wright returned to her former home to shoot her short film called “Change For a Dollar.” She used Osawatomie residents as extras to film at various locations in the city. Wright said the movie follows a man wearing a sign that says “change” and how he manages to change people’s lives with just a dollar.
