OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie High School football player Andy French was to undergo surgery to get a heart pacemaker installed. The Osawatomie Journal reports that the surgery will end the junior football star’s career. He said doctors put him on a heart monitor because he kept falling behind other players. Doctors say the pacemaker could save his life.
