The EPA wants at least 1 billion gallons of biodiesel more used beginning in 2012 as part of the federal Renewable Fuel Standard. Lewis Bainbridge, USB official and South Dakota soybean farmer, said the new rule will mean more money and stabilize prices for U.S. soybean farmers. Soybean oil remains the dominant material for biodiesel and it is home-grown, environmentally friendly and renewable, he said.
