LOUISBURG–There’s a new twist in the case of 20 dead horses on a farm near Lousisburg. The owner says the farm is a retirement place for old race horses, and they are brought there to live out the rest of their lives, which explains the higher death rate than most farms. Miami County Undersheriff Mark Schmidt says the owner is cooperating with disposal of the carcases and providing care for the surviving horses.
