OTTAWA-Hazardous Materials officials from Olathe were called into to clean up a gas spill at the Shortstop Gas Station at 17th and Main. Assistant Ottawa Fire Chief Rick Oglesby said a gas tanker was unloading gasoline when a valve malfunctioned, spilling about 50 gallons. No reports of other damage or injuries.
