OTTAWA — Besides a second-place finish at the state 4-A basketball tournament, Ottawa has received an outstanding sportsmanship award from the Kansas State High School Activities Association. High school principal Rick Johnson said the state group had raters sitting in the stands during the tournament watching the crowd, students and cheerleaders. The Cyclones received a placque, he said.
