LAWRENCE — It’s “An Insider’s Look at Haiti” Wednesday night at 7:30 at Kansas University’s DoleInstitute of Politics. Emergency and disaster recovery expert Scott Morris, a former official with the Federal Emergency Management Agency; KU lecturer in Haitian Creole Jean-Benito Mercier, and Venel Lamare, a former Haitian who fled the 1992 coup and who lives in Lawrence; will talk about Haiti and take questions about the quake-stricken country’s past and future. The event is free and open to the public.
