OTTAWA — In these days when the federal and state governments are handing out unpleasant things to schools, Ottawa schools were handed something from the feds that they actually welcomed.  The school district has received 29 computers and one server from the Lawrence office of the Social Security Administration, said school Supt. Dean Katt explained.  The Social Security has established a regular schedule in which they replace computers and often times, they’re in as good as or better condition than those the school system uses, he said.  The donations are much appreciated, Katt said.
