OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie’s request for a state grant to help make improvements to Brown Avenue has been turned down. City manager Bret Glendening told the Osawatomie Journal that the city still has an application for a federal grant for the work. He saideven if the city doesn’t get that grant, the city could scale down the project in hopes of getting it done. The project includes widening Brown Avenue between 12th and 14th streets.
