GARNETT — After one of the snowiest winters in years, area school districts are figuring out if their students will need to make up those school days cancelled for severe winter weather. Anderson County USD 365 superintendent Don Blome told the Anderson County Review that the district has used four snow days. The district is about maxed out, he said. If students have to make up the days, it would be at the end of the year or during an in-service day, he said. Crest superintendent Lee Jones told the Review his district had scheduled three snow days but students have missed five days. The school board will likely decide next week how to handle the snow days, he said. Central Heights superintendent Jim White said he doesn’t believe students will have make up any days.
