OTTAWA — The Franklin County Commission agreed Wednesday to a program of dust control for 17 houses along a detour on Oregon and Marshall roads and Nevada Terrace. The county is replacing the Vermont Road bridge over the Marais des Cygnes River near Rantoul beginning this spring. County public works director Jim Haag said he expects at least a thousand more vehicles on those roads when the detour takes effect.
