TOPEKA–If predictions prove correct…corn is “it” this year in Kansas. The USDA’s Prospective Plantings Report says Kansas corn growers intend to plant 4.7 million acres this year, up 15% from 2009. This would make 2010 the largest area planted to corn in Kansas since 1936.
