PAOLA — Tuesday is election day in Miami County. The only contested races are for the Osawatomie City Council and one race in Paola. There are three contested races for the Osawatomie City Council. Troy Dalton and Lawrence Dickinson are seeking the Precinct 1 seat. In precinct 2, it’s John Farley and Jamie Wilson. In Precinct 4, incumbent Tamara Maichel is being challenged by Dwight Francis. Karen LaDuex has no challenger in Precinct 3. The contest race for Paola City Council involves Precinct 4 where Pete bBell and Mark Minden are both seeking the council seat. No opponent filed against Geecoulia ‘Gee Gee’ Wilhoite in Precinct 2. The two races for the Louisburg City Council are uncontested. Carolyn Karns is running for Precinct 1. David Cannon seeks Precinct 2.
