OTTAWA — Republican Rep. Bill Otto was harshly critical of Republican leadership in the House during the Ottawa legislative coffee Saturday morning. House leaders have been the main roadblock to getting a budget this year, being more interested in trying to play political games aimed at Democrats rather than working on the budget, he said. Because the House leaders have stacked the power positions with like-minded anti-tax legislators, the Legislature adjourned without a budget for the first time that anyone can remember, he said. It wouldn’t have been hard to figure out what was needed for the state next year, he said.
