OTTAWA — Franklin County will apply for a two-year state grant for an energy manager to cut utility costs for the county, the city of Ottawa and the Ottawa school district.
Commissioners approved the application Wednesday. Commissioner Sue Farrell said the county planned to do an energy audit and the grant will help the county do something it had planned to but for free.
