OTTAWA — The Ottawa Youth in Government has picked up a grant good for a rainy day. City manager intern Casey Sharp found and filled out the paperwork that got the group a $5,700 grant from the Marais des Cygnes River Basin Targeted Watershed project, said Ottawa Volunteer Center director Lisa Rivers. The grant will allow the distribution of 100 rain barrels and the creation of a rain garden at Kanza Park, Rivers said.
