CINCINNATI –Kroger said it’s recalling two spice blends it sold at its grocery stores, including in Kansas. Kroger’s is another in a series of recalls involving pepper tainted by salmonella and mixed in a wide variety of retail black peppers and spices.  Kroger is recalling Kroger California Seasoning Blend Garlic Powder and Kroger Special Seasoning Blend Lemon Pepper.  The spices were sold in retail stores in 31 states including Kroger, Food 4 Less and Dillons.  The garlic powder was sold in 2.5-ounce jars with code dates of dec0312ps2 and dec0412ps2 under the following UPC code: 1111066599.  The Kroger lemon pepper blend was sold in 2.25-ounce jars with code dates of nov0512ps2, dec0312ps2 and dec2812ps2 under the following UPC code: 1111074492.  Return the spices to where you bought them for a full refund.  Check the Centers for Disease Control Web site at www.cdc.gov.  Consumers who have questions about this recall may contact Kroger toll-free at (800) 632-6900 or www.kroger.com/recalls.
