CENTROPOLIS — Rural firefighters responded to a shed fire in northwest Franklin County in the 4200 block of Kentucky Terrace near Centropolis Monday. The fire was at a metal shed used for storage, said county fire marshal Alan Radcliffe. The Pomona, Centropolis and Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison fire departments responded to the blaze, he said. Radcliffe said it was one of two incidents rural firefighters dealt at about the same time Monday afternoon. The other was a one-vehicle accident near Pomona at Labette and Colorado roads.
