OTTAWA — ECKAN’s Youth in Government and the city of Ottawa will hold three rain barrel workshops this summer. Youth in Government director Lisa Rivers said you’ll learn why and how to create a home rain barrel. You’ll be provided the materials to build a rain barrel and will be guided through the process. The workshops will be at the Ottawa High School Cyclone Room the Saturdays of May 15th, June 5th and June 26th. Because of a Marais des Cygnes Targeted Watershed grant, the workshops will be free to the first 100 people who sign up, she said. Workshops will have 33 people each, she said.
