OSAWATOMIE — Although they’re missing their front street for now, downtown merchants in Osawatomie said they’re pleased with the Streetscape work. Beauty salon owner Teri Wendt told the Osawatomie Journal that she tells her customers to use her back entrance. The construction outside her front door has been a good excuse to clean up and make improvements to her shop inside the door, she said. Osawatomie is rebuilding part of Main Street, the sidewalks and the downtown landscape as part of the Streetscape project.
