OTTAWA — There’s got to be a morning after and Ransom Memorial Hospital officials used it to analyze this weekend’s disaster drill in Ottawa. The drill involved a tornado ripping through Ottawa University, with more than 20 injury victims being raced to the hospital. RMH CEO Larry Felix said hospital staff went into emergency mode to deal with the casualties. Although the hospital didn’t call in local doctors, they were asked how fast they would have made it to the hospital in event of an actual disaster, he said. The hospital would have had a full complement of doctors arrive within seven minutes, he said. The hospital, which is required to do two disaster drills each year, is making minor changes to it disaster plan as result of this weekend’s drill, he said.
