OTTAWA — With a run of good weather, building crews were making progress on a new $9 million surgical and obstetrics wing at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Because of a series of rain and snow storms since construction began last year, construction had been behind five weeks behind but is now three weeks behind, said hospital CEO Larry Felix. The OB wing should be ready by late August and the surgical suite ready in September, he said. The steel frame has been completed and the concrete floors have been poured, he said.
