OTTAWA–Franklin County Sheriff Craig Davis has announced his retirement effective July 1. In a written statement, Davis cites his father’s declining health and the need to care for him as one reason for retiring. He also says he wants to spend time with his grandchildren. Governor Mark Parkinson is tasked with appointing a successor to Davis.
