OVERLAND PARK — A Waverly man will serve on a military advisory group for U.S. Congressman Jerry Moran. Moran is running for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Sam Brownback. J ohn Bukovatz will be on what is called “The Veterans for Moran Steering Committee.” Bukovatz was in the Navy and was a helicopter crewman in California. He received an Air Medal and his unit received a Presidential Citation for their service.
