MANHATTAN — College students come back for the summer. But with the crummy economy, adult children are being forced to move back home because of a job loss or a divorce. Adult children forced to move back home might seem like the grist for a situation comedy, but Kansas State University family expert Charlotte Shoup-Olsen said with communication and respect between the two parties, the arrangement can have many benefits. As long as parents realize their adult children have changed and as long as the children realize their parents will worry over them, the situation can work.
