KANSAS CITY — If you didn’t fill out your Census form, you’ll be getting a visit from a census taker from the U.S. Census Bureau Saturday or later. Census takers will knock on doors to collect information from households that didn’t answer the questionnaire. If a census taker can’t contact a household after repeated attempts, he or she will seek information in any way possible to estimate the number of people living in the home. Census Bureau regional director Dennis Johnson said an official census taker must show an ID badge with a Department of Commerce seal and expiration date and will provide you with their supervisor’s phone number for verification. The U.S. Constitution requires of census of everyone living in the U.S. every 10 years.
