OTTAWA — The Ottawa Main Street Association has picked the executive director of a non-profit Louisiana children’s agency to lead the downtown business group. Brian Dennis, Thibodaux, La., will begin as Main Street director Friday. Although Dennis has been executive director of the Children’s Coalition for the Bayou Region, he said he knows the Main Street program well. Dennis said his experience in grant management, community development and retail will benefit Ottawa. Main Street president Cathy Sutton said Dennis will bring a fresh perspective and a desire to grow both the downtown district and the Main Street organization.
