KANSAS CITY — A 26-year-old Eudora man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for drug trafficking U.S Attorney Lanny Welch said Dustin Stoneking pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. Welch said Stoneking admitted he conspired with co-defendants Wade Johnston of Ottawa, Randy Lucero and others to distribute methamphetamine. Welch said Johnston provided two to three pounds of marijuana a week to Stoneking over an eight-year period. Stoneking admitted he often went to Johnston’s home in Ottawa to pick up marijuana and methamphetamine and drove to Salina to pick up meth for Johnston. He also admitted wiring money via Western Union to California to pay Johnston’s methamphetamine source. Lucero has been sentenced to 27 years in jail. Sentencing for Johnston will be June 1.
