GARNETT — Foundation work has been completed on the historic Anderson County Courthouse. Besides Franklin County, Anderson County is the only county to receive a Heritage Trust Fund Grant for its courthouse. County Clerk Phyllis Gettler told the Anderson County Review the project included waterproofing the courthouse foundation. All of the sidewalks near the courthouse were replaced and the steps leading up to the courthouse doors were reinforced. The handicapped ramps were redone. Gettler said the work was delayed several months because of the weather.
