APPANOOSE — Although Friday’s fire caused serious damage to the Old Appanoose School Museum, the museum will reopen. Museum board member Carol Bulmer said the rooms that weren’t burned will be on display and the museum will reopen the first Sunday in June and September from 2 to 4 p.m. One room that included a 1920s farm kitchen and bedroom were destroyed by the fire, which firefighters said was caused by lightning. The museum’s insurance company is looking at the damage, she said.
