OTTAWA — The Franklin County Republican Central Committee will pick a new sheriff tonight. Sheriff Craig Davis is resigning June 30 and a successor will finish the rest of his term. Candidates include Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Curry and retired Shawnee County deputy Jim Honn. The meeting is open to the public and will be tonight at 7 at the Church of the Nazarene, 700 S. Elm.
