OTTAWA — It was a case of hit and run. Then it was a case of hit and swim.An motorist ran off the street near Third and Oak and hit an Ottawa street sign Friday and took off. Then he left the city and ran off Old Highway 50, where he hit a utility pole and fence and ended up in a pond southwest of Ottawa. Gunner Thompson, 18, Williamsburg received minor injuries and was booked for leaving the scene of an accident and on suspicion of DUI.
