OTTAWA — Today is the deadline for paying your second-half property tax payment. Pay at the county treasurer’s office. But if you miss the treasurer’s office closing at 4:30 today, treasurer Debbie Hough said you still have options. You can drop the payment in the mail as long as it’s postmarked for today. You can also put payments in the drop-box at the courthouse after hours, and she said that’s OK, too. As a cost-cutting measure, Hough won’t send you a receipt unless you specifically ask for one.
