OTTAWA — In Kansas City, it’s National Tourism Week. In Ottawa, it’s lemonade and cookies day. The Franklin County Visitor Information Center will hand out lemonade and cookies and have a free drawing for a $25 gift card today as part of a Kansas City-region “I am Tourism” promotion. As part of “I am Tourism,” Ottawa Mayor Linda Reed will greet visitors at the Comfort Inn and Suites this evening and County Commissioner Sue Farrell will be at the Plaza Movie Theatre from 6:30 to 7:30 tonight.
