BALDWIN CITY — A traveling exhibit from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum will be on display at Baker University in Baldwin City beginning Saturday and running through June 13. The exhibit called “Discover Greatness: An Illustrated History of the Negro Baseball Leagues,” will be at Holt-Russell Gallery at Parmenter Hall in cooperation with the Baker baseball team. Admission is free for Baker students, faculty and staff and their families. A $7 donation is recommended from the general public. Children 12 and under are free. Area youth sports teams (up to 20 players) and their coaches will be admitted for $50. On May 22-23, Baker alumni, their family members and friends will be admitted free for alumni weekend. Here is the exhibit schedule, unless otherwise noted: Tuesdays through Thursdays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.; Saturdays: 9 a.m.-noon; and Sundays, 1-4 p.m. Exceptions are this Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m.; Saturday, May 22: 9 a.m.-noon and 1:30-5 p.m.; Saturday, May 29: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; and Saturday, June 5: 9 a.m.-noon and 1:30-5 p.m. For more information, contact Baker baseball coach Phil Hannon at (785) 594-8493 or [email protected].
