OTTAWA — School building will soon be in session. The Ottawa Planning Commission gave the OK Wednesday night to Neosho County Community College’s new campus on K-68 in eastern Ottawa. The planners approved the preliminary plat and site plan for the new campus after a public hearing. City planning and codes director Wynndee Lee said the college’s contractor can start moving dirt at the site, but college officials have to submit building plans before they can start building. Neosho officials say because of the number of new students and programs, they’ll have to move from their present campus on Second and Beech.
