OTTAWA — Ottawa police received several reports of vehicle burglaries over the weekend. Police said items were stolen from unlocked vehicles parked in the 700 block of South Cedar and 100 block of South Poplar Saturday. In the third case Saturday, police say someone walked into a garage in the 700 block of North Main and stole items from the garage and from a vehicle parked in it. Sunday, at least four parked vehicles were burglarized – in the 1600 block of South Willow, two vehicles in the 900 block of East Eighth and a vehicle parked in the 100 block of South Locust. A Williamsburg man reported his vehicle parked in the 2100 block of Princeton was vandalized Sunday morning. Burglaries from unlocked, parked vehicles have been an on-going problem for several months.
