OTTAWA – Two men were arrested by Ottawa policeon suspicion of kidnapping over the weekend. It wasn’t known immediately if the arrests were related. Jerry Ray Taylor Sr., 46, Lawson, Mo., is in the Franklin County Jail after Ottawa police were called to a domestic argument in the 800 block of South Cedar Friday night. A 38-year-old Ottawa woman told police she was battered by her boyfriend and during the fight, several items were broken. Taylor was arrested on several charges including suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, suspicion of criminal threat and suspicion of domestic battery causing bodily harm. Ottawa police said Jason Smith, 32, Ottawa, was arrested in the 100 block of South Cedar Sunday. Police said he was arrested in the 100 block of South Cedar Sunday night in a domestic dispute involving a 27-year-old Ottawa woman.
