OTTAWA — Two Ottawa women received minor injuries in two separate domestic incidents this weekend. Police Lt. Adam Weingartner said two men were arrested on several counts and taken to jail. Both cases involved weapons, including a knife, he said. Although both cases were similar they are different cases, Weingartner said. Jason Smith, 32, Ottawa, was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, aggravated assault, domestic battery and criminal damage to property in a dispute involving a 27-year-old woman. Jerry Ray Taylor Sr., 46, Lawson, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, suspicion of criminal threat and suspicion of domestic battery causing bodily harm involving a 38-year-old woman.
