OTTAWA–Now you see it, now you don’t, now you see it again. That pretty well describes pending road work in Ottawa that was a victim of Kansas budget problems. However, with a somewhat improved budget picture, some projects previously cut can now be let. This includes road work in Ottawa that involves overlaying K-68 beginning at Poplar Street and going east to the I-35/K-68 junction. It will see the removal of existing pavement, and replaced with a 2 inch overlay and pavement marking. The project is a little over 1 1/2 miles, and will cost over $600,000.
