KINCAID — The Kincaid High School Alumni will have a reunion Sunday and Monday and everyone is invited. They want to reunite you with the Kincaid High School Community Center. There will be an open house from 10 to 4 each day. The Friendship Quilters Club is making a quilt to help raise more money for the new center. The high school alumni pushed the city of Kincaid to accept the old Kincaid school to be used as a city hall, senior center, library and community center. The city council originally didn’t want the school, saying it couldn’t insure or maintain it. However, Ann Donaldson, of the alumni group, told the Anderson County Review her group has raised more than half of a $25,000 goal for the building. The $25,000 would be used to match a U.S. Department of agriculture grant for the building, she said. An account at the Citizens Bank in Kincaid has been set up to accept additional donations.
