GARNETT — The Kansas Supreme Court has agreed return the law license of Anderson County Attorney Fred Campbell but with conditions. Campbell told the Anderson County Review that the main condition could be the hardest to meet. That condition requires him to meet another prosecutor every two weeks to discuss all felony prosecutions and other unusual cases for at least a year. Campbell said he is looking for another prosecutor to serve as monitor before he returns as county attorney. Campbell was forced to give up the county attorney’s post when the state suspended his law license. He was suspended after he showed parents edited photos of a beer bash in May 2007 that included two teens engaged in a sex act. The sex act was first reported as a rape but officials later said it was consensual. The Supreme Court ruled his action of showing the edited photos victimized the girl shown in the sex act. He was suspended six months but the high court waited 18 months after that before restoring Campbell’s license.
