OTTAWA — Franklin County commissioners appointed four people to the new Frontier Extension District that combines Franklin and Osage counties Wednesday. Franklin County Extension agent Darren Hibdon said the merger has been OKk’d by the state and will start operation July 1. Commissioners picked Jarred Sterling, Brenda Guenther, Linda Thurston and Jean Higbie.
