OTTAWA — The starting date for the proposed Love’s Truck and Travel Center south of the I-35 and U.S. 59 interchange has been delayed again to March 2011, said city manager Richard Nienstedt. The company regrets the delay in construction, said Rick Shuffield, Love’s director of real estate and development. Some purchases the company is making have tied up key executives and the construction teams this summer, he said. Nienstedt said the city will continue to install electric, water and sewer lines at the site. The city has been paid $1 million in advance for the utility work.
