TOPEKA — A Kansas nonprofit has launched a Web site aimed at those teens who “age-out” of the foster care system. The Kansas Serves Substance Affected Families said as the teens turn 18 they’re pushed out of the foster care system and are on their own with few resources. The group’s Web site is www.kansasindependence.org. The Web site is designed to offer information life skills, alcohol and drug abuse, how to buy a car, find housing, and budgeting.
