COLONY–A 13 year old girl was killed in a one vehicle crash near Colony in Anderson County yesterday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the victim as 13 year old Mary J. Robertson of Verona Missouri. Authorities say the girl was a passenger in a Ford Expedition Utility Vehicle driven by 45 year old Connie L. McCormick, also of Verona. The vehicle was southbound on U.S. 169 when it left the road, plunged into a ditch and then overturned several times. The passenger was ejected through the rear hatch. McCormick was taken to Allen County Hopsital, and no other information on her condition is available. The accident happened around 8 o’clock abut 2 miles north of Colony.
