OTTAWA — Turtles can bite even if they don’t open their jaws. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Robynn Woods, 38, Pomona, was driving her vehicle north on Idaho Road near Pawnee Road near Richter Monday night when she tried to grab a turtle on the passenger floor board. Her vehicle ran into the ditch. Deputies said she wasn’t injured.
