WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration is announcing two food recalls in Kansas and other states. Chiquita Brands is recalling certain Fresh Express ready-to-eat salads because they may be contaminated by salmonella. Check your refrigerator for bags of salad with use-by expiration dates of May 13 through May 16 and with the letter S in the product codes. Wally’s Nut House is recalling 16-ounce packages of Tailgate Crunch Mix, Sweet Cajun Heat Mix, Country Western Mix, Cranberry Raisin Mix, Party Mix, Hot ‘N Spicy Mix, and Louisiana Cajun Mix. The FDA said they don’t have warnings that they may contain milk, soy or wheat products and could be hazardous to people with those allergies. They were sold through fundraising sales in Kansas and Missouri and through mail order nationwide.
